About Us

Our Story

Gould Hill Farm is located on Gould Hill Road, between the villages of Contoocook and Hopkinton, in the Town of Hopkinton, Merrimack County, NH. The property contains approximately 60 acres of orchards, farmland and forest on the east side of Gould Hill Road, and include the farmhouse, 1810 main barn (now the store), pole barn, and apple storage buildings. From the mid 1700s to the present, this property has been farmed continuously.

A Love for Local

Gould Hill Farm grows over 80 varieties of apples, not to mention the peaches, nectarines and plums that are locally farmed here.
Owners of Gould Hill Farm, Amy & Tim Bassett, decided that due to the intense economic pressure and ever changing weather affecting small family farms, to look into value added products to help keep the farm sustainable.

We also grow a large selection of vegetables such as beans, squash, herbs, garlic, potatoes, tomatoes, cucumbers, cabbage, pumpkins and more. We do carry local sweet corn when avaliable. All produce is available in the store when in season.

Our Past

Gould Hill Orchard has always been a family owned and operated farm. In 2010, the Bassett family purchased the East side of the road to include the buildings and land. A young family with a farming background, although the farming was of cows, the dedication to learn about apples was there.

Our Future

The Bassett family, Tim, Amy, Hannah, Amelia, and Cameron, will run Gould Hill as a farm with hopes to grow the farm. We plan on expanding the store and adding new products and yummy goodies. Gould Hill will remain a fixture in the town of Hopkinton as a family destination for picking apples, enjoying views and making memories that last a lifetime.
